Hellfest 2017 Review – Day 1 of 3 : Too many bands, too little time!

Welcome to hell¬†! This year again, almost 60,000 metalheads reached their shrine¬†: Clisson, where takes place one of the main metal events of the year in Europe : Hellfest. The festival has welcomed the biggest names in extreme music over the last ten years, and this year’s lineup won’t stop them getting bigger and bigger.

Through those three days, we’ve seen headliners such as Rob Zombie, Aerosmith, Rancid, Linkin Park, Prophets of Rage, and, what’s one of this festival’s strengths, more confidential ones, which makes this -more than 160 bands- bill one of the strongest that you’ll see this summer.

Exclusive: Rancid/The Transplants show review

935745_10151692830908140_1188052942_nI have been going to concerts for close to 19 years now and have seen well over 10000 bands in that time. It’s hard for me to pick what shows stand out but I will not have a hard time remembering this show. This show was by far the best punk show I have been to thus far and definitely one of my favorites of all-time. Not only did I FINALLY get to mark Rancid off of my list of bands that I need to see, but I got introduced to 2 awesome bands, hardcore punk band Bricktop and female fronted punk band The Interruptors. Plus, I cannot forget on how insane the crowd was the whole night. Skinhead Rob of The Transplants couldn’t stop applauding us for our craziness. Continue reading

Riot Fest Denver announces first wave of bands

riot festRiot Fest and Sideshow has announced its first round of musical acts for its Denver date including Rancid, The Replacements, FLAG and Iggy and The Stooges.

Riot Fest Denver, which is being held Sept. 21 and 22 at May Farms in Byers, Colo., will include a plethora of activities alongside live music including carnival rides, games and a corn maze.
