Southern California rock band Takers Leavers have released a new music video for “Empty Glow”, which is the fourth track off their newest EP Break & Bloom. The young band has managed to make a name for themselves regionally, opening for bands like He Is Legend and Emarosa, The band has this to say about the song, stating: “Empty Glow” is about “the remaining feeling after ‘love’ has faded, the internal struggle to realize that we are the only ones bringing ourselves down.”
When Hands Like Houses made their debut in 2012 with Ground Dweller on Rise Records, they immediately stood out. At the time, Rise’s roster of new signings was filled to the brim with dime-a-dozen metalcore bands that did little to distinguish their stereotypically angsty and melodramatic music from the then-dominant groups of the Warped Tour scene… or from each other. With their label dominated by so much sonic homogeny, it was downright refreshing to see Rise take a chance on an Australian sextet who flipped the script, crafting a progressive sound where sonic intricacy meshed with nuanced lyrical storytelling, a combination that could reach genuinely riveting heights.

After losing all but one original member, Addison Rider, the end seemed near to some but with the addition of bassist and backing vocalist Connor Buckingham the band is back better than ever, and ready to take the world by storm. 3 months ago the band released Overthinking which showcased Buckingham and displayed the band’s new direction. September 5th brought even bigger and better news for For The Fire fans when they dropped a whole new song, Bridges and announced the release date for their new EP.
