While the band has been pretty hushed since the release of 2016’s Misadventures, it appears the vocalist of Pierce The Veil, Vic Fuentes, has issued an update on the band’s status. Questions had surrounded the situation since Mike was accused of sexual misconduct in 2017, and while he eventually made the decision to “step away” from the band, it was unclear whether he’d be rejoining the band or not. Now, it seems we have an answer.
8 years ago, post-hardcore favorites Pierce The Veil released their third album, Collide With The Sky. While it was their previous album Selfish Machines that helped launch them a fanbase quickly, it’s the follow-up of CWTS that made the band in-demand superstars. And why not? The album, which featured notable guest vocalists like then-Letlive/current Fever333 + Pressure Cracks vocalist Jason Butler and Sleeping With Sirens singer Kellin Quinn, certainly ranks among crowd favorites in their setlists. The latter of which just managed to hit a huge milestone, too!
Considering it’s been 2 years since the release of their chart-busting album Misadventures, it’s no surprise that Pierce The Veil have been working on new material. The post-hardcore veterans are officially back in the saddle (again!) with the official news from Vic Fuentes that Pierce The Veil are now officially working on studio album number 5.
The upcoming material will be the band’s first since Misadventures, which came in at a stunning #4 on the Billboard Top 200, seeing the band play some of their biggest shows yet. A truly stunning achievement considering the band’s initial rise to fame, and living proof that your favorite local and regional bands could well become your new favorite.
