Through 5 albums with Alter Bridge, a run of smash hits and platinum albums with Creed, and even 3 extremely well-received solo albums, the last 20 years have certainly been an adventure for guitarist Mark Tremonti. Blessed with a plethora of musical talent, Tremonti has accomplished in 2 decades what most rock musicians only dream of doing, but in Mark’s case, there’s still a creative well to go back to despite having to balance family, kids, and being on the road all the time.
Perhaps it’s that dichotomy that fuels his fire, especially his solo work, which is quite compelling to listen to. Luckily for us, we were able to get a brief glimpse into his life, his goals, and even his time with Creed in an interview below at Fort Rock Festival. Check out the full audio below, and listen to the AB track “Calm The Fire”, one of the best songs (if not the best) off 2013’s Fortress.
Remember 2016’s EPIC “Ultimate Dad Rock Tour”? The one that featured all your favorite rock bands including the immortal Trapt, Saving Abel, 12 Stones (did they actually remember to play the tour last year?) and more? Well, if you like your rock the audio equivalent of Wonder Bread, say no more, fam.
Dates are unknown right now, but one was just announced via a presale announcement from The Paramount in NY (which you can see below). The lineup includes Scott Stapp (of Creed fame), Sick Puppies, Trapt (HEADSTRONG AYYYYYY), Drowning Pool, and Adelitas Way (who are actually the best band on the lineup, honestly). Major protip – enterprising entrepreneurs can likely make a few bucks from selling Tapout and Affliction t-shirts in the parking lot before the shows. Maybe even some tasty Natty Lights? The possibilities are endless. Here’s last year’s EPIC event, for reference.
