Prison/Dark Sermon Vocalist Johnny Crowder launches “Cope Notes”, a new mental wellness initiative

More than ever before it seems, the world is starting to realize that putting off your mental illnesses is harmful – you’re certainly not a weak person for being bipolar, or being diagnosed with ASD, or “insert ______ illness here”. Vocalist Johnny Crowder, a 25-year-old touring musician and lived-experience mental health advocate, has announced the birth of Cope Notes, an SMS service that makes self-help easier and more palatable for millennials. Subscribers receive 20 randomly-timed messages per month that contain witty advice, exercises, and encouragement without any warning. The service aims to solve common problems experienced by those frustrated with the search for the perfect self-help solution.
