Recently our photojournalist Savannah Rowley had the privilege to cover Five Finger Death Punch’s tour at the CFE Arena in Orlando, FL on December 5th. Filled with pyro and ground-shaking bass, it’s no wonder this band is still around performing all over the world. Also on the bill was Breaking Benjamin, In Flames, and From Ashes to New.
With the band’s newest full-length Ember dropping a few days ago, it’s a great time to revisit Breaking Benjamin, who have cemented themselves as one of the more consistent modern rock bands. It’s somewhat debatable, but the general consensus is that the band’s 2006 album Phobia, which eventually went platinum, is the band’s best work. It’s also hard to argue with the fact that it contains so many anthemic songs. Even the non-singles are brilliant slices of mid-2000’s hard rock.
Revisited is a TNF-curated series that will highlight influential and overlooked albums from bands who have unfairly flown under the radar, classic albums that are celebrating an anniversary, and/or albums we think you need to listen to again.
Hard Rock band Not By Sight has released a lyric video for their track “Stand“. The track features Jane Train (Liz Phair), Corey Lowery (Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Eye Empire, Dark New Day, Saint Asonia), Troy McLawhorn (Evanescence, Seether, Dark New Day, doubleDrive), and Morgan Rose (Sevendust). The track was produced, and mixed by Corey Lowery.
Breaking Benjamin are set to release their upcoming fifth full length album, ‘Dark Before Dawn’ on June 23rd, 2015.
