Through 5 albums with Alter Bridge, a run of smash hits and platinum albums with Creed, and even 3 extremely well-received solo albums, the last 20 years have certainly been an adventure for guitarist Mark Tremonti. Blessed with a plethora of musical talent, Tremonti has accomplished in 2 decades what most rock musicians only dream of doing, but in Mark’s case, there’s still a creative well to go back to despite having to balance family, kids, and being on the road all the time.
Perhaps it’s that dichotomy that fuels his fire, especially his solo work, which is quite compelling to listen to. Luckily for us, we were able to get a brief glimpse into his life, his goals, and even his time with Creed in an interview below at Fort Rock Festival. Check out the full audio below, and listen to the AB track “Calm The Fire”, one of the best songs (if not the best) off 2013’s Fortress.
Friday was an evening of relief from the wintry mix that has been Kansas City; a relief appreciated as fans lined up around Harrah’s Casino to catch the band of rock/metal nomads known as Alter Bridge.
The venue, Voodoo Lounge, was sold out at their capacity of around 1100. The line was being granted entry at 20-30 people at a time, creating a traffic jam that caused panic for some as they tried to talk their way into the venue prematurely.
