While speculation has been flying regarding which bands are taking part in the final cross-country Warped Tour in 2018, it’s likely Kevin Lyman will go full-stop in ensuring its final lineup is one to remember. And while there are undoubtedly certain bands that fans would love to see reunited, the fact is that some reunions just aren’t happening.
The final Vans Warped Tour (in this capacity, anyway) will happen this summer. The news hit like a shockwave to many, but to others it wasn’t a huge surprise. Might as well go out on top, right? Warped was an institution.
That being said, founder Kevin Lyman may have just hinted at some of the bands on the tour, including possible bombshells like Paramore, A Day To Remember, Knocked Loose, and more. The information comes from a breaking Twitter exchange, and the potential info comes as you read through said exchange. While there’s no way to necessarily confirm this info (other than this possible report) we can only speculate at this time. But a lineup filled with bands that people loved 10 years ago when they first started out? Very awesome to think about. It just needs lots of The Ghost Inside.
A few days ago, the Vans Warped Tour officially opened up their annual poll, crowdsourcing the bands that fans want to see on the 2018 edition of the summer festival. While it’s certain that thousands of submissions will be sent in, we’re issuing our own submissions of the bands we’d like to see, with our unscientific formula. The following bands have a recent record out, have one coming out soon, have a strong work ethic, and/or are touring heavily with some serious buzz surrounding them. We’re also including a specific reason or two why these bands should be on the tour. It also goes without saying that these choices are fairly realistic, considering that Vans Warped Tour is often the event that really “breaks” certain bands into the public consciousness. The notion of “deserving” an opportunity like this is up for debate, but all these bands have reasons why they should be playing big stages.
10 Bands, 50 bands, 100 bands, fuck it, man
Let’s just not even discuss it, man
