Swedish alternative rock band Normandie are entering a new era with a brand new single, “Ecstasy”. It’s the band’s first new song from their upcoming record, which has the band’s Inguz album cycle drawing to a close. That debut full-length launched the band into the worldwide consciousness with their anthemic brand of rock that straddled the line between post-hardcore, pop-rock, and alt-rock, and “Ecstasy” sounds as huge as anything they’ve ever done.
It’s impressive what Normandie have done in such a short time – supporting Ryan Key of Yellowcard on tour, now touring with Hands Like Houses, and creating what will likely be the band’s true breakout album – so you can ignore at your own risk. Hardly any band in this style sounds quite as big as Normandie do.
