Erimha is a symphonic black metal band from Montréal, Quebec, Canada who is currently signed to Victory Records. I’m trying to figure out where I have been in the last 3 years of their existence to not know about these guys. I did not know what to expect when I was asked to review this album. I’m extremely happy I accepted because I enjoyed listening to this album. I’m VERY picky when it comes to black metal bands and Erimha definitely don’t sound like your typical black metal band.

Reign Through Immortality starts off with the perfect intro, Enlightenment. It sets up the mood for the rest of the album (as an intro should). It has a really eerie feel to it, almost like you are watching the beginning of a horror movie. The intro flows right into my personal favorite track, Ascetic. Everything about this track kicks ass from the multi ranged vocals to the intense drumming. Since I brought up the drumming, I cannot leave out the drummer in this review!! His drumming is some of the most intense drumming I have heard lately. Almost every track starts off with him going balls out until the song is done and then starts all over again for the next track.

I have listened to this album for the last 3 days nonstop and I think I came up with my 4 favorite tracks off of this album that people should check out: Ascetic, Bewildering Nightmare, The Ritual of Internicion and Cataclysmic Tides. These are the tracks that stood out the most to me and are great introductions to this band. I know a lot of people shy away from any band that considers themselves black metal, but I believe that even if you typically hate the genre, this band will be your exception and if you are wanting to sample some bands in the genre, definitely give these guys a listen. I look forward to hearing much more from these guys and now I need to check out the rest of their discography.

Rocks Like: Behemoth, Keep Of Kalesin, Shades Of Memory
