After releasing last year’s Coming Clean EP to solid success, the relative lack of activity from Volumes unnerved fans of the band. Not many tours, not many updates, etc. With Gus Farias leaving the band last year with only Myke Terry at the vocal helm, Volumes have always been a band predicated on two vocalists. Now, the band appears to have solved this issue in a huge way.
Grammy Award-nominated progressive metal band Between The Buried And Me have announced a spring 2020 North American tour that will feature a very special two-set performance celebrating 20 years since the band’s inception. The first set will feature a career-spanning setlist, while the second set will see the band play its highly acclaimed 2009 opus “The Great Misdirect” in its entirety. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, January 17.
The tour will kick off in Richmond, Virginia on May 9 and will make its way through another 30 cities across North America before ending in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 19.
Dutch trio Captain Graveyard, who also previously released a cover of 3OH!3’s “Don’t Trust Me” late last year, have emerged with a new cover of Bring Me The Horizon’s “Ludens”. Using their power and influence for good, Ice Nine Kills have successfully raised over $54,000 ($37k in US dollars) following an overwhelming response to their limited-edition exclusive t-shirt sale that took place earlier this month to help aid the Australian wildfire relief efforts. Profits from the sale are being donated equally between Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Warriors–a non-profit organization founded by the late Steve Irwin and his wife, Terri Irwin, to aid in the protection of injured, threatened or endangered wildlife-and the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery.
