Orange County Metalcore to the Front: Eighteen Visions is “Crucified”

One of the biggest reunions in recent history is the pride of Orange County, metalcore living legends Eighteen Visions are back 10 years after their 2007 disbandment to reign in the masses with a new album, XVIII, out June 2nd via Rise Records. Far from a cash grab reunion, though, the album is being produced by Mick Kenny of Anaal Nathrakh, and is a clear throwback to the band’s Vanity-era output, in that it’s some ultra sludgy, breakdown-laden metalcore, but also contains the strangely melodic parts the band is known for. Seriously, Eighteen Visions is probably the most important band around to the current crop of metalcore bands, both in style and in sound.

Today, the band have released a new music video for the album opener, “Crucified”. You can view it below, as well as an announcement from the band.
