If you’re wondering what former Decoder/Lead Hands vocalist Keith Jones has been doing, you’re not alone. Truthfully, that project should have been longer-lasting than it was, but I digress. Not one to step away from the mic for long, his new band Minosha is pursuing a sound more akin to late-1990’s aggro nu-metal – though with a more palatable, possibly mainstream edge (think Deftones’ Around The Fur). Based on the strength of one song, this is a sound that’s both easily accessible, yet still moshpit anthem worthy. The project also features Mikey Kowalczyk on guitar, former Bermuda/The Reset bassist Derik Corl, and former Wolf:Speak drummer Taylor James.
The band recently premiered their new song “Ignore”, which you can find below. One thing’s for sure – you won’t want to “Ignore” what Minosha has going on. If the project can get off the ground and land on a tour or two, the future might just be now.
