In hindsight, it’s crazy to think how much planning the great festivals of the past, present, and future come about. The planning they require occurs months in advance, before major tours are leaked to anyone – and in the case of So What Music Festival (based in Texas), the convergence of several of these tours during the year. Within the first few minutes of the recently released SWMF documentary, you’ll notice that the planning and work for something like this is a year-round gig – months of work go into just a weekend festival. It’s pretty impressive stuff, all things considered.
