Apparently the fastest way to gain attention in the metalcore scene in 2016, besides releasing music, is participating in pointless band drama. Why do musicians think this is necessary? Totally beyond my comprehension level, but whatever gets people talking, I suppose.
Anyhow, vocalist Kevin Lucerda of the band It Lives, It Breathes, went on a video rant against vocalist Shawn Spann of I, The Breather (who have been around much longer, as one of Sumerian Records’ flagship bands – though they’re about to embark on a final tour), and it’s pretty clear Kevin does not like Shawn. Why? Find out below. Regardless of who’s at “fault” here, it’s like watching a car crash in slow motion. Bands: This is how not to conduct yourself, unless of course you’re looking for all the wrong attention. If you really have a problem with someone, this isn’t the way to do it.
