Australia is no stranger to scalding hot metal bands, ranging from the more extreme side of the genre (Thy Art Is Murder, Gravemind) to the more metalcore-leaning side of the genre (Parkway Drive, etc). Meliorist are more on the latter side of the genre, with riffs aplenty, but certainly not on the extreme end. If anything, they’re more similar to a band like August Burns Red, Protest The Hero, or for a more throwback example, Unearth. Certainly good company to be in, really.
