No strangers to themed music (see: the shredding on their Christmas cover albums), August Burns Red can do pretty much anything they want and it’ll sound compelling. Since their 2007 sophomore album Messengers, they’ve really gained fame as a band who, while staying mostly in the metalcore genre, are one of the genre’s leading lights. Their willingness to experiment with different instrumentals also does this.
What does the Lancaster band do next? Record a cover of the theme from the iconic game series, The Legend Of Zelda? Yeah! And it sounds pretty on-point, we think. The song is off the band’s Phantom Sessions EP, due out in February on Fearless Records.
