While anticipation for their 5th full-length is heightened by a song being dedicated to the late Chester Bennington, The Word Alive has often been a frustrating band for many. 2010 debut Deceiver is usually considered their high water mark, and while their following three albums have all been solid, you get the feeling that a band with this kind of talent should be capable of more.
Perhaps their upcoming 5th album will do just that. The band just teased a 15 second snippet of the new material, and honestly? This guitar riff is tasty. We’ll let you be the judge, though.
