Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura dies in car accident

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Yordano Ventura has reportedly been killed in a car crash Sunday morning in the Dominican Republic, according to MLBTradeRumors. Ventura was just 25 years old, and even more tragically, former top prospect infielder Andy Marte was killed in a separate crash this morning as well. You can read the updated tweets from reporter Cristian Moreno below, confirming both deaths. Ventura was a part of the Royals first World Series win in 30 years, in 2015.
