No Sleep Records, home to bands like Charmer, Hot Mulligan, and Shai Hulud, have signed Gatherers, a post-hardcore act hailing from New Jersey. After some radio silence in 2019, the band kicked off May 2020 with the stellar track “Ad Nauseam, I Drown” to commemorate the signing.
An intense, angry track, “Ad Nauseam, I Drown” features some discordant guitarwork, passionate vocal delivery, and an emotive chorus. It’s quite reminiscent of Poison the Well, Glassjaw, and other classics of the genre from years gone by.
This makes for another great addition to what was already a sleeper-hit label, and I fervently await more to come from the band, hopefully by the end of 2020!
