Craving Strange is a four piece, self described “rock n roll for your earholes!” band hailing from Amityville, NY. Made up of vocalist / guitarist Jimmy Gerovac, lead guitarist / vocalist Matt Abbate, bassist Mike Talento, and drummer Jimi Tassone, their songs are guaranteed to be stuck in your head long after you stop listening.
For fans of The Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, and any classic rock band that makes you want to sing along, Craving Strange is definitely worth checking out!
With a new EP in the works to be released in the next couple of months, Craving Strange has the 11 track “Savoir Self” which was released in 2009 and 10 track “A Life Exceptional” from 2014 available for listening on Spoitfy and Bandcamp. “Angeline” and “Breathe”, two singles released in 2013, are also available.
Craving Strange recently played at the 2015 Red Gorilla Music Festival and Heart of Texas Rockfest, both in Austin, TX the same week as SXSW. They’ve also performed at Bamboozle in Asbury Park, NJ, back in 2012. With a few local shows coming up, I’d definitely recommend checking them out if you’re in the area or trying to catch them when they’re playing a show near you!
