Corrosion Of Conformity drummer Reed Mullin dead at 53

Longtime Corrosion Of Conformity drummer Reed Mullin has died, according to his bandmates. Co-founder of the band in 1982 and forming as an important hardcore punk band of the era, the band went on to see large success in the 90’s through albums like Blind and singles like “Clean My Wounds”, and explored varying styles of rock and Southern metal to critical success.

According to Blabbermouth, Mullin “had missed a number of shows in the past four years due to a variety of health issues, including an alcohol-related seizure he suffered back in June 2016.” No cause of death has been given at this time, but this is terrible news for COC fans. He was certainly an integral part of their sound and development and for so many other bands as well.
