Can’t Swim Release New Single “In Between” Ahead Of Upcoming Tour With Movements

New Jersey rock band Can’t Swim is getting ready for a massive North American and European tour that will take place this spring and will have them sharing the stage with the likes of Movements, State Champs, Knuckle Puck, Good Charlotte and Jimmy Eat World among others. In anticipation, the band has shared a brand new single, called “In Between,” with fans today. The single premieres in the form a beautifully shot, black and white video that conveys the song’s raw emotions perfectly.

“Often times, I get sidetracked and focus too much on tricky word play and mysterious metaphors to finish up the lyrics of a song. Perhaps it’s a way to feel less vulnerable, knowing (hoping) the meaning of what I’m trying to say might go over (or under) a few people’s heads. With “In Between” I did my best to do the opposite, I tried to have the lyrics sound like I am simply having a conversation with an old friend. Musically too, I think it has a very meat and potatoes type of approach. In the studio, we had the conversation of it being simple and straightforward and what we could do to combat that, but than after listening to it for weeks, we decided that’s exactly what we liked about it. In short, don’t mess something up with trying to be “creative” the best ideas come from somewhere else, just gotta grab em when they do.” – Chris LoPorto (vocals/guitar)
Can’t Swim’s new single, “In Between,” arrives on the back of the band’s previously released, stand-alone single, “God Awful,” which made its debut a few months ago.
Can’t Swim’s new singles, follow the release of the band’s critically heralded debut album, Fail You Again, which was released in 2017. Fans can catch the band performing the new songs and favorites from their record on tour this spring!
