Bring Me The Horizon have released the 4th and final single off their upcoming album in the form of the pop-leaning “Mother Tongue”. A song that’s sure to divide fans across the board, the new track is primed for crossover attention, to be sure. The band is releasing their new full-length, the highly anticipated amo, this Friday – ahead of a major North American tour with Thrice and The Fever 333 as support.
Fans of the band – or even casual listeners of BMTH – shouldn’t be all that shocked that this is the direction some of their newew material is going in. After all, they’ve been hinting at it even since 2010’s There Is A Hell…, but especially since 2015’s That’s The Spirit. Regardless, seeing Bring Me The Horizon evolve from an early deathcore/metalcore act to writing songs that are clearly pop in nature is an interesting development. It’s probably why they’re an arena act worldwide now.
