There’s a reason Jonny Craig has garnered so many fans throughout his career. He is undeniably one of the best vocalists at the moment. Slaves is the perfect next step for the him as he is accompanied by an amazing band.

Through Art We Are All Equals, set to release on June 24, is an emotionally packed album. With the problems that Johnny Craig has overcome in his past, it is clear that he’s channeled his experiences into passion.

“The Young and Beyond Reckless” features Tyler Carter. I could not think of a better team of vocalists. Two of the most talented musicians I’ve ever heard. The track is amazing with soaring melodies of the two vocalists whose voices greatly compliment each other.

“My Soul is Empty and Full of White Girls” is my favorite track on the album. I feel this track best exemplifies Craig’s talents as a vocalist accompanied by great atmospheric and pounding instrumentals.

Jonny’s sister, Natalie Craig is featured on another great and emotional track about the divorce of their parents’ titled “The hearts of Our young,”

The final track titled “Starving for Friends,” featuring Vic Fuentes of Pierce the Veil, is another one of my favorites off the album. High intensity with haunting beautiful melodies for which Johnny Craig is known. Again, the accompaniment of another great vocalist in addition to Craig makes for a perfect track. An amazing end to a great album that resonates far after it is complete.

Through Art We Are All Equals is mesmerizing, passionate, and full of infectious melodies that we have come to expect from Jonny Craig.

4.5/5
