Album Review: Relief In Sleep – “Relief In Sleep”

Florida hard rock/metal band, Relief In Sleep, have dropped their self-titled sophomore album through Imminence Records – and it does not disappoint!
Unpredictable, yet catchy and easy to follow, “Relief In Sleep” is full of haunting melodies that will replay in your mind more and more with every listen. Every song is packed with a noticeable familiarity that is surprisingly refreshing amidst the ever-growing monotony found in hard rock bands with female vocalists. If you’ve ever listened to Skillet and thought, “man, I would love this band if they injected their sound with steroids,” then Relief In Sleep is what you’re looking for.

The fact that this album held my attention from beginning to end twice in a row speaks volumes. Even with this recent release I am already anxiously awaiting their next release – I can’t recommend this band enough.
