When Metallica released …And Justice For All in 1988, the band was at a crossroads as far as balancing the thrash metal they helped popularize with their mission to become one of the biggest metal bands of all time. Of course, it wasn’t until 1991’s Black Album that they were truly reached that point, but the seeds were certainly sown in the band’s classic early material.
Senses Fail are certainly one of the vanguards of the early-2000’s post-hardcore scene. While maybe not quite achieving the commercial success of some of their peers, the band have nonetheless managed to carve out a more than respectable career for themselves. Especially considering how many of their peers have gone their separate ways.
The band’s last full-length, If There Is Light…, was released in early 2018 – and the band has been hard at work on new music. Could it be time for a new record from the band? Well, yes!
Florida is known as a breeding ground for some of the most unique sounding bands in music, and has been since the rise of artists like Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, DEATH, Trivium, and many more. Florida knows how to make good music, to say the least. Corpus is one of Florida’s newest bands, but one that hits like a semi-truck going downhill. Corpus latest release ‘Blood Bloom’ was released through BVTV late in 2019. The band is currently working on the next entry into their discography, and ‘Blood Bloom’ is certainly an angry piece of music – in the most “let’s open up this pit!” kind of way. Corpus is a metalcore group that definitely lurks in the realm of bands like Spite, The Gloom In The Corner, Alpha Wolf, Dead/Awake, and early Sworn In. The Sarasota, Florida metal band Corpus came to fruition in 2018 with the release of their debut EP ‘Delirium’, within the same year the band would go on to release their follow-up EP ‘Torment’. It’s pretty clear Corpus is just getting started.
