With the introduction of former Lorna Shore frontman Tom Barber in 2018, deathcore band Chelsea Grin went on to release Eternal Nightmare that same year. Led by successful single “Hostage” (which has clocked in as one of their most popular songs to date with over 7.5 million streams on Spotify alone), the addition of Barber to replace Alex Koehler certainly paid dividends. Now, the band is set to release a new single, “Bleeding Sun”, next week.
What if someone, or something, from your past, returned to invade your present reality? Electro/rock band LOWBORN‘s new single and video “The Grave” depicts the return of someone who was supposed to stay buried. With their top single “Crazy” recently surpassing a million streams, LOWBORN’s perfected production continues to build in “The Grave” – dropping July 17th across all platforms followed by the official music video July 31st!
Halsey is a kaleidoscope of colors, a constantly evolving artist who continues to push the boundaries on pop music. In her recent collaboration with Magnum Ice Cream she did a short live performance for her fans with a special set list. Songs that highlighted love and loss and being true to yourself. All themes that have been prevalent in her work over the years. She has always been unapologetically herself, and her recent project Manic she dove deep into who she was not as Halsey, but as Ashley.
The set list featured a fair amount of her more recent tracks and a few older ones: Bad at Love, Graveyard, Without Me, Be Kind (her collaboration with Marshmello), and Alanis’ Interlude among others. She was accompanied by her guitarist Arianna, with a pink backdrop that made it feel like a pink fantasyland with Halsey’s vibrant pink hair. It felt honest, and intimate as she connected with the audience through the screen. Every performance of Halsey’s feels like you’re getting a slight peek into her world, and this one is no exception.
The Greeting Committee just released a special hometown performance of “Gold Star,” on their YouTube channel. It was filmed during their sold out performance in January at The Uptown Theatre. An intimate moment during their set, surrounded by fans to close out a special night. The close up view makes you feel connected throughout the performance as if you are right there with them. The band has this to say:
“Since we can’t be on the road and bring you our music in person, we wanted to give you a glimpse of a very special show we played earlier this year. Back in January, we played a sold-out show in our hometown of Kansas City. There we captured a special moment during our song “Gold Star” to close out an already wonderful night. We’re bummed we can’t be in front of everyone right now, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this!”
