After announcing it earlier this week, Fit For A King have dropped a high-voltage new single today off their upcoming full-length. “God of Fire” features Crystal Lake frontman Ryo Kinoshita, and it’s a direct attack on religious leaders who use fear as a weapon.
“‘God of Fire’ is a song about religious leaders who instead preach a message of love, use the fear of hell and condemnation to advance their own personal morality or translations of scripture,” shares frontman Ryan Kirby on the message behind today’s release. “They essentially turn a God of love and mercy, into a God of fire.”
Physical music sales are continuing to dwindle as the music industry continues to move predominantly towards streaming, and that has made it more difficult than ever for bands – especially rock and metal bands – to get any kind of RIAA certifications. Gone are the days when albums like Hybrid Theory would end up selling enough records in a week to go Silver or even Gold in just a couple weeks, but that doesn’t mean these accolades are completely nonexistent now.
After the demise of Attack Attack!, Caleb Shomo had plenty to prove with his new project, Beartooth. Success came rather quickly – the band has toured with some huge names as well as headlining their own tours over the span of 3 full-length album cycles – but the latest accolade for the band is one of their most impressive.
Static-X have pulled together their resources to bring Wayne Static back to life, through the art of music. After 11 years since their last album, and the tragic death of Wayne Static in 2014 – Static-X has managed to pull off a very unique way to honor Wayne with their new album, “Project Regeneration, Vol. 1”. The band found old files of unused vocal recordings and musical compositions of Wayne Static, thus bringing the idea of their new album Project Regeneration to life. Project Regeneration, Vol. 1 features some of Wayne’s final musical recordings and vocals throughout the album. The lineup for this album features the original lineup from the band’s platinum debut Wisconsin Death Trip.
