Letters to Part impress with new single “Ascian”

The first release from a band is its most critical – making a strong first impression on new listeners is paramount to their success. Letters to Part looks to do just this with their second single, “Ascian,” off their upcoming EP Mad’ouk set to release later this year.

One listen to this track and I can sense some serious Circa Survive/Secret & Whisper inspirations. Echo-y guitars and solemn vocals/lyricism encapsulate the angst in a format that welcomes listeners’ frustrations. Layered guitars and competent bass/drumwork shows that Letters to Part means business and has a lot to offer.

Born Of Osiris complete work on new full-length album

While the band released The Simulation at the beginning of 2019, metal band Born Of Osiris have been working on new music ever since then as well. And with not much to do considering the coronavirus decided to ruin everyone’s touring plans this year, it appears Born Of Osiris will be releasing a new album relatively soon. At least, according to guitarist Lee McKinney.

Ice Nine Kills superfan creates artistic, unofficial film for INK song “Tess-Timony” – watch

Whatever you might think of horror-metalcore band Ice Nine Kills’ rapid ascension into the public consciousness recently, know this – the band, who was set to open for Five Finger Death Punch on a major arena tour, have worked incredibly hard to get where they are. Their horror shtick is done far better than other bands who might attempt the same things, and to the surprise of many, INK has existed for just over a decade prior to the release of their 2018 breakout album, The Silver Scream. It’s awfully impressive stuff, to be sure.

As previously noted, though, INK has other albums than just The Silver Scream – and its predecessor, Every Trick In The Book, collected classic literature stories into a solid concoction of post-hardcore and metalcore. Essentially, it was (and still is) a good preparation for their later material. Given its success and status as a fan favorite album, INK superfans will want to give this rather cool unofficial short film for the song “Tess-Timony” a watch, too.
