If you’re like us, you’re probably eagerly anticipating a new Saosin record. While the post-hardcore veterans – who reunited with original vocalist Anthony Green for their 2016 record Along The Shadow – have bided their time with a new release, the relative quality of that record will likely make the band’s 4th full-length album more than worth it.
NYC’s Leeway need very little introduction to fans of heavy music. Whether you’re a fan of hardcore, metalcore, thrash metal, or hardcore punk, chances are you know of Leeway – or at least know their influence that lives on through more modern bands like Terror, Knocked Loose, and fellow cohorts Sick Of It All. Their debut album Born To Expire is a great example of this, still being lauded 30 years after its original debut.
It’s with that in mind that we’re excited to premiere Leeway’s new video for “Message To A Manchild”. The video is from the single off their most recent EP Tipping Point!, which dropped a few months ago via Upstate Records. A song that’s based on true events in the life of vocalist Eddie Sutton, the new video is certainly worth a watch, if only for the passion and anger you can really feel behind the lyrics.
After recently releasing the single “Heartless” merely two days ago, which quickly moved to #1 on the charts in several countries worldwide, The Weeknd has returned with yet another single this week titled “Blinding Lights”. The song was recently teased in a Mercedez-Benz commercial at the beginning of the week, and the 80’s vibes on this song are in full effect. Fans compare the song to tracks played on the popular Netflix series Stranger Things, also saying this is a song they could see blaring down the highway at night when all the city lights are present. The artist and company uniquely collaborated in release for Mercedes’ new electric car EQC, which can be seen below.
