Equal parts manacing, emotive, and terrifying, Korn’s 1994 self-titled debut album, which turns 25 today, is immediately recognizable as essentially the birth of a new genre – nu-metal – within the first 20 seconds of “Blind”. 5 men in a room playing some of the most unnerving and groundbreaking music to ever hit your auditory canals, and 25 years later, it’s still a vital listen for any music fan.
Wisconsin progressive deathcore band Immortalis have shared a teaser for their new music video and song, Leviathan, which is set to release October 26th. This will be the first release from the band since their debut EP Symmetry which was released in 2017. Since their first release, the band has toured the midwest and played alongside huge names such as Mushroomhead, Within The Ruins, Fit For An Autopsy, Oceano, and Beartooth.
Fans of high energy pop-punk are going to love what we have cooking on this Friday. We’re stoked to be teaming up with Cleveland’s Elbow Room for the premiere of their new video + single for “Vanity”. Generally, this is a band that plays better when they’re louder, which is ALL the time in terms of energy. Seriously, it’ll probably remind you of everyone from Rarity to even Bearings at times. Basically, you’ll dig it.
The band has already gained some attention hanging with the likes of Sleep On It and hitting a few notable Spotify playlists too. In other words, it might just be your new favorite song, since the alt-rock edge helps them very much.
Later this month, State Champs and Simple Plan will be touring the USA on a co-headlining tour, where they’ll also be joined by We The Kings. While that tour is just a few weeks out from starting, the three bands have now teamed up on a collaborative new single, “Where We Belong”. Predictably, it’s a take on what most modern pop-punk sounds like in 2019, but fresh music from all 3 bands is okay by us. We’re sure you’ll feel the same.
